Autumn Term 2024 – Keeping Safe
For our Autumn Learning for Life Day we focused on important safety skills that help keep us safe in our daily lives. Students participated in engaging activities and discussions about a range of safety topics, including Bonfire Night safety, road safety, online safety, fire safety, and mobile phone safety. The day provided valuable information and practical tips on how to stay safe in different situations, both at home and in the wider community. Through interactive sessions students learned how to make responsible choices and keep themselves and others safe. It was a fun and informative day that empowered our students with the knowledge they need to stay safe.
Spring Term 2025 – Effective Communication and Social Skills
Our spring term’s Learning 4 Life Day was a fantastic opportunity for our children to further develop and enhance one of the most essential life skills—effective communication and social skills. Throughout the day, pupils engaged in activities that focused on different aspects of communication, helping them to build confidence, teamwork and understanding. From active listening to non-verbal communication that highlighted the power of body language and facial expressions, in vertical groupings from Year 1-Year 6, our children discovered new ways to express themselves beyond words. Team-building challenges encouraged collaboration, while sessions on digital communication emphasised the importance of clear and responsible messaging in today’s online world. It was an enriching day filled with valuable lessons that will benefit our pupils in both their academic and personal lives. By strengthening our communication skills, we are fostering stronger connections and preparing children for their future lives and success.
